Cole’s Bay, Tasmania, Australia
We spent 3 nights in Frecinet National Park. It’s a beautiful park, with gorgeous beaches and cliffs, and great hikes. Unfortunately it was still quite chilly and rainy, but again it was convenient having the hostel almost to ourselves. With the down season comes reduced service hours. So, for our first night in the park, we got to enjoy another meal of chips and nuts, complemented this time with a lovely bottle of red wine.
We went on some great hikes (too wet and muddy to mountain bike), and drove to some local wineries and sampled some interesting new (new to us) wines. We especially liked the riesling (very dry for a Reisling) at Fricenet, and Pinot noir at Coombend.
