Pokhara, Nepal
We’ve completed our 3 week trek in the Annapurna conservation area – safe, sound, healthy and a tad sore! Currently in Pokhara at the Suprina Hotel to chill for a couple of days.
We had a couple of days of recovery in Pokhara before heading back to Kathmandu. Pokhara was a good half-way spot for us, to ease back into civilization. The streets are wide, with very little traffic, and the town felt quite sleepy. We couldn’t see the beautiful backdrop of mountain peaks due to overcast skys, and we really didn’t do much to write home about. We did check out the massive International Mountaineering Museum, which was housed in a large building surrounded by a huge plot of land, but the displays inside felt a bit like a middle-school’s collage of student projects. I guess it’s still a work in progress.
