This site is a revival of our 2006/2007 TravelPod posts (“Grant and Joanne’s Adventure to the Far East”). We have ported our posts and photos over from the now defunct “TravelPod” to this travel blog and added some photos from the final leg of the journey (which never made it into the original). The final month or so is still a bit spotty — you can see the point at which we simply ran out of travel-blogging steam.

GOJO Adventures 2006-2007
This is the story of our year long voyage throughout the Far East. The intention was to keep our friends and family apprised of where we were, and to share some highlights of this once in a lifetime adventure. Although our plans were quite fluid, the initial vision for our itinerary went something like this… March: Canada; April-May: Japan, China; Jun-Sep: New Zealand, Australia; Oct-Dec: India; Jan-Mar: S.E. Asia (Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodi, Malaysia, Singapore, etc);
We more or less took each day/week as it came, booking travel 1-2 weeks at a time…. wherever the journey (and our mood) took us.
