Planned tour of China

Hong Kong, Hong Kong
Monday, April 24, 2006

One of our first destinations will be China. We have scheduled a grassroots tour through China, Starting April 24, with an adventure travel company called Imaginative Traveler. The group will be small (18 people max), and they take care of transportation and accommodation logistics, as we travel from Hong Kong, through the Sichuan Province (Panda Sanctuary 🙂 ), up into the Tibetan mountains, through Xi’an (Terracotta Warriors), and up to the forbidden city (Beijing). For more details on the tour, check out the Sichuan Explorer Itinerary. Here’s a map of the planned route. [links no longer valid????]

Since you will be with a tour group they should have all the regular tourist sites on their itenerary. If you can though, try to get some time off the tour and hit the back streets. Awesome! I’m going to review our China trip so I can give you some of our experiences there.

Xi’an was the hihglight of the trip for me. After your visit you will see why the Chinese will inevitably be the premier country on the planet. They have lots of labor and they don’t stop…ever!

    More later.
